Noah Pransky is 10News' investigative watchdog chasing government, corporate, and community abuses. A native of Needham, Mass., Noah attended Boston University, where he split his time between broadcast journalism and a side job as the school's mascot.
Prior to joining 10News in 2009, Noah worked in sports, covering the Georgia Bulldogs for a CBS station in Northeast Georgia, then the football and spring training stories of Southwest Florida for the ABC and NBC affiliates in Fort Myers.
Since then, he's maintained the Shadow of the Stadium blog, focused on Florida sports business & stadium news. The site has been a mainstay on Forbes' list of "50 Must-Follow Sports Business Twitter Accounts."
At 10News, Noah has won four regional Edward R. Murrow Awards for news and sports reporting, including national recognition in 2013 for exposing safety issues on youth soccer fields. He's also been honored 10 times with Emmy Awards for investigative reporting, plus the national George Polk & Columbia-duPont awards in 2014 for exposing red light camera abuses.
The red light camera series not only launched a national conversation about the technology's fairness, but got many injustices fixed. Florida saw a multi-million-dollar drop in fines after the state lengthened yellow light intervals, and the improved signal engineering should help to prevent accidents at tens of thousands of intersections statewide.
When not competing for the best investigative stories in Tampa Bay, Noah dabbles in competitive triathlon racing. But he's found more success as a competitive eater, winning more than a dozen pepper-, hot dog-, and tater tot-eating contests.
Noah loves Tampa Bay for its "big city" benefits without "big city" headaches (except I-275) ... and he wants to know what issues you think local watchdogs need to shine a brighter spotlight on!
