2 dead, 2 injured in shooting at Tampa park
Tampa, Florida -- Two people were killed and two people were injured in a shooting at Al Barnes Park in Tampa on Sunday.
Al Barnes Park is located at 2902 32nd St. North. Tampa police say several families were spending the day there when a small group of unrelated individuals began to argue. The argument reportedly escalated into a physical confrontation, and two people allegedly pulled out guns and began to fire at the group.
Two men died at the scene. They have been identified as Nico Charles Crawford, 22, and Zedmon Culpepper, 17.
Two others were injured and taken to the hospital in critical condition. Police say both are stable. Their names will not be released at this time.
The shooting is still under investigation. The Tampa Police Department says it was not a random act and it is following up on several leads. Police say the community is also cooperating in order to apprehend the suspects.
