ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Here are some choice events for the week of Nov. 20.

The Winter Village is now open in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park in downtown Tampa. You can shop in boutiques, rent skates and go skating on real ice, and enjoy the beautiful river views. It’s guaranteed to put you in a festive mood.

On Thanksgiving morning, burn off some calories and help cancer survivors by running in the Goody Goody Turkey Gobble. 10News Meteorologist Ashley Batey is running and helping with announcements at this event. All the proceeds from the run go to the YMCA’s LIVESTRONG program. This 12-week exercise course is offered free-of-charge to cancer survivors and their families. The runs start at 7:00 a.m.

And you can start your holiday shopping at a big Thanksgiving Art and Craft Festival in Tarpon Springs. This event in historic downtown Tarpon Springs is in its 27th year. It runs Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
