NORTH PORT, Fla. - The North Port Police Department is asking for public's help finding a dog owner accused of running from a hit-and-run crash.

The crash happened Friday at the intersection of Logsdon Street and Dulce Street.

The owner ran from the scene and headed northbound on Hopwood Road, according to North Port police. He also left his dog behind.

Police said the man was wearing dark sweatpants and a tank top.
