BRANDON, Fla. - Two people were shot by deputies during a gun buy in the parking lot of the Home Depot on East Adamo Drive, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
No deputies were injured, the department said.
Two deputies were facilitating a purchase of illegal weapons from a man and woman in the parking lot at about 8:20 p.m. when the subjects were shot, department spokesperson Danny Alvarez said.
Both were taken to Tampa General Hospital. Their conditions were not immediately known, Alvarez said.
