There's a traffic alert out of Polk County, where an Amtrack train struck the back of a big rig.

It happened at around 2:45 along Recker Highway near Derby Avenue in Auburndale. Investigators say the train was heading east when it hit a portion of the semi that had just gone over the tracks.

The train dragged the trailer for a short distance before stopping.

At this point, there are no injuries, but crews are working to move the trailer out of the way and open the tracks back up.

The train, carrying 202 passengers, originated in New York City and was headed to Miami.

Recker Highway near Derby Avenue is closed until the trailer is cleared.
