Fun events for Sunday, February 25

St. Petersburg, Fl - It may sound a little bit strange, but a great place for a family outing today is the Pinellas County dump. There's actually a nice green space at the Solid Waste Facility and today they're holding an Eco Fun Festival. You'll find all kinds of environmentally-themed exhibitors out there and demonstrations going on. And the ever-popular Touch-a-Truck display will be there too. Kids and adults who still get a thrill out of backhoes and such can't stay away from that. The Eco Fest is just a great place to learn how to live a little bit greener. It's all free and it runs from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Looking for something a little higher voltage? Well then, how about Volta. This is the exciting new Cirque Du Soleil show in Tampa. It combines acrobatics, action sports, drama, and music--all under the big-top at the Tampa Greyhound track. There are two shows today at 1:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

And if seeing all those dizzying acrobatics isn't enough to turn you green, how about just seeing a whole lot of green critters. Repticon is back at the Florida State Fairgrounds. Dozens of vendors with their exotic animals are set up there. They're always willing to teach and answer questions. You can get up close and personal with all things wild and wiggly. Repticon runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
