St. Petersburg, Fl – Here are some choice events for the week of November 21st.

You can kick off your Thanksgiving Holiday with the Tampa YMCA Goody Goody Turkey Gobble run. It starts out at the Amalie Arena plaza and then continues along a beautiful Bayshore Boulevard route. The Goody Goody restaurant then provides the runners with a free breakfast. The event benefits the LIVESTRONG program at the YMCA which provides free exercise options and other support for cancer survivors and their families.

The holiday tree lighting in St. Pete is Friday. The celebration begins in North Straub park at 5:00 p.m. and then the Mayor flips the switch that turns on the downtown Christmas tree and lights at 7:30 p.m. There’s free holiday entertainment and activities for children

And there's a big art and craft show Saturday and Sunday in downtown Tarpon Springs. The outdoor showcase has been a holiday favorite for more than a quarter century. The event encourages shoppers to patronize businesses that are small and local.
