St. Petersburg, Fl - The city of Tampa's tree lighting ceremony is Friday evening in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. The fun begins at 6 p.m. with holiday music. Tampa’s first family, the Buckhorns, will officially light the 30-foot Christmas Tree at approximately 7:50 p.m.

On Saturday morning you can watch for the 10News float in St. Pete's Santa Parade. The parade starts at 10 a.m. and runs along Central Avenue to the waterfront. Afterwards there is a lot of family fun at Snowfest in North Straub Park.

You can do some big holiday shopping or just dream at the St. Petersburg Power & Sailboat Show. You can compare hundreds of boat models both in and out of the water. The show runs Thursday through Sunday at the Mahaffey Theater Yacht Basin and Albert Whitted Park.
