St. Petersburg, Fl – Here are some choice events for the week of Oct. 17.

It's all things science in St. Pete Saturday and Sunday. MarineQuest is on Saturday. It’s an open house at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's Fish and Wildlife Research Institute. And on Saturday and Sunday you can hit the St. Petersburg Science Festival. There will be a lot of hands-on exhibits. The festival takes place along the waterfront of the USF St. Pete campus.

On Saturday, you can join 10News Road Warrior Hilary Zalla at the Take Steps Walk for Crohn’s and Colitis. This is a free event with a lot of family fun at Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park in downtown Tampa. The festival starts at 2 p.m. and the walk at 4 p.m.

And in Largo’s Central Park on Saturday there’s a big Pie Festival. There will be a Bake-Off, a Pie Eating Contest, and a Pie buffet. Yum! There’s also a kid’s area with games, a dog zone, and a beer garden.
