Lt. Rick Ubinas with the Tampa Police Department said he was not aware of any previous problems at this bar, but stressed the importance of being aware of your surroundings.
“I always think now it's always good advice with everything that's going on, maintain good situational awareness when you walk in somewhere, look at the exit points, look at how people are acting/behaving. Is there and argument starting/brewing?" he asked.
"Well, then It might be time to leave."
While the motive is unclear at this time, police say they are interviewing at least a dozen witnesses. They also are also in contact with a person of interest.
Police say they don't know of any previous trouble in the area, but people speaking with 10News' Emerald Morrow say they're "tired" of the crime in the neighborhood -- the police do not come around enough, they argue.
