It’s our favorite part of the week!
Friday leads us into the weekend, but it’s also when we showcase our 10News School of the Week powered by Duke Energy Florida. This week we spent time on the campus of Buffalo Creek Middle School in Manatee County.
Congratulations Hawks! This school just found out it’s met the requirements to become an AICE Cambridge school next year. It will be the first middle school in the district with the accreditation.
The school shows a lot of pride and most of that is due to the students.
The Student Sunshine Club will find ways throughout the year to send positive vibes to their classmates. It could be from writing chalk messages on the walkways before testing, performing random acts of kindness or inviting fellow students sitting by themselves at lunch to join them.
Other clubs include documentary production, FFA and TSA to name a few.
There really is something for everyone who attends the school. It’s one reason Buffalo Creek Middle is our 10BNews School of the Week powered by Duke Energy Florida.
