Here's what happened when a Wheel of Fortune contestant said 'flamenco' wrong

CULVER CITY, Calif. - Jonny Knowles had it.

Standing right before him was the entire Wheel of Fortune puzzle - "Flamenco Dance Lessons."

Not one letter was missing.

All he had to do was repeat what was on the board.

"Flamingo dance lessons," he said during the episode, which aired Monday.

The crowd cheered.

"Sorry," host Pat Sajak said before moving on to the next contestant, who pronounced 'flamenco' correctly.

The North Carolina man was stunned.

"To explain: what we all heard was -- and I know you didn't mean to say it -- but you gave us a 'G' instead of a 'C','" Sajak said.

The pronunciation was reviewed during the break.

The decision was upheld.
