Oldsmar's city council decided against making any changes to its red light camera program, despite a recent court ruling that indicated the ticket-writing process is currently illegal.

Four out of five council members decided against following the lead of some South Florida communities that have suspended their programs until the legal challenges are sorted out.

A number of class-action suits are looking to score refunds for drivers from cities and counties that are outsourcing their ticket-writing to private camera companies.
