HALLANDALE BEACH (CBSMiami) — One man is dead and three others injured after scaffolding collapsed 40-feet above the ground in Hollywood.

Around 1:30 p.m., the scaffolding collapsed along the side of the Hyde Resort and Residences that is under construction.

Chopper4 was over the scene where two men could be seen hanging off the building but being held up by safety harnesses.

Hallandale Beach Fire Rescue used their aerial ladder truck to reach one of the men. The other was safely lowered to the ground. They were both treated for minor injuries.

Two other victims were taken as trauma alerts to Memorial Regional Hospital. One of the men died and the other is in critical condition.

Hollywood Fire Inspectors and Hollywood Police are investigating the incident. OSHA investigators are also at the scene.
