Gunfire exchanged during suspected drug-related home invasion in Riverview

At some point doing the confrontation with the home's occupants, shots were fired.

RIVERVIEW, Fla. -- It's believed a drug-related home invasion spurred an exchange of gunfire overnight.

Two armed men entered a home just after midnight Wednesday, March 28, in the Panther Trace subdivision, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

At some point doing the confrontation with the home's occupants, shots were fired.

The suspects ran off from the scene. No one was hurt.

Deputies say the shooting doesn't appear to be random.
