No one hurt as fire breaks out at abandoned Tampa home

Crews report it is a single-story home that appeared to be boarded up.

No one is believed to be hurt at an abandoned home Thursday, March 29, in Tampa.

TAMPA, Fla. -- No one is believed to be hurt in a fire at an abandoned home.

The fire, which broke out before 7 a.m. Thursday, March 29, is in the area of East 25th Avenue and 34th Street. Crews report it is a single-story home that appeared to be boarded up.

It took about 20 minutes to get the fire under control. Firefighters had to fight the fire defensively because it was so involved, 10News Emerald Morrow reports.

Six homes in the area are without power after firefighters worked to put out the flames.
