Tampa police have identified a woman and her young children who were struck by a car on Wednesday.

Police say Cassandra Marie Spicola, 29, and her children Jordan Williams, 5, and Noah Spicola, 18 months old, were trying to cross Dale Mabry Highway about 5:52 p.m. near Wyoming Avenue. They were not in a crosswalk.

They were struck by a southbound Toyota Camry. The driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said. He has not been charged, and speed and impairment do not appear to have been factors, police said.

The three were taken to a local hospital. Spicola and her younger son received serious injuries.
