Update: DADE CITY, Fla. - The Pasco County Sheriff's Office found a missing 12-year-old girl safe.

Deputies found Ariella Serrato safe on Friday morning.

Original Story: DADE CITY, Fla. - The Pasco County Sheriff's Office is searching for a missing 12-year-old girl.

Ariella Serrato ran away around 10 p.m. Thursday from her Hillsborough Avenue home after she was grounded, her parents told Pasco deputies.

She was last seen wearing a blue tank top, blue shorts and a black hoodie with the word "pink" written on it. The girl has long black hair and brown eyes.

Serrato's parents believe she left out of the window while they were asleep.

The sheriff's office said Serrato does not have a history of mental illness. No foul play is suspected.
