A female customer was killed Tuesday morning at a Pinellas Park business after possibly being struck by construction equipment on the property, police said.

According to police, Ida Kuhlman Pacheco, 82, of Pinellas Park was dropping off recycling materials at Recycling Services of Florida, 3560 52nd Lane N. After dropping off her materials, she walked toward an area where front-end loaders were in operation.

One of the loaders struck Pacheco, killing her. Her body was found when the driver circled around, and police were called.

Police said she was not in a public drop-off area, but in a roadway where the loaders were working.

OSHA will not be involved because Pacheco was not an employee. The incident is being treated as an accident, and criminal charges are not expected.
