Florida Gov. Rick Scott made a visit to Seminole Heights to thank law enforcement officers working to find the killer.
Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn tweeted photos of meeting with the governor and Tampa police chief Brian Dugan.
Scott visited the Tampa police command post in Seminole Heights, where four people have been killed since October.
The governor's spokeswoman Ashley Baumann says he made the surprise visit to thank law enforcement for their dedication.
She says Scott has been keeping up-to-date on the case, calling Mayor Buckhorn every couple of days for updates in the case
The reward for information leading to the arrest of the killer rose Monday to $110,000.
