It's no secret restaurants in Seminole Heights have taken a hit in recent weeks as customers were wary to go there while a killer was at large.

Now the restaurants, as well as needy children in the neighborhood, are getting a boost from people who know a lot about taking hits.

Three players from the Tampa Bay Lightning will sign autographs and pose for photos from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday at three Seminole Heights locations in exchange for an unwrapped toy for elementary-aged children in the neighborhood.

The players and locations:

  • Steven Stamkos: Brew Bus Brewing - 4101 N Florida Ave.
  • Victor Hedman: Fodder & Shine - 5910 N Florida Ave.
  • J.T. Brown, along with Tampa Police Chief Brian Dugan: Ella’s Americana Folk Art Café - 5119 N Nebraska Ave.

There is a limit of one autograph or posed photo per person.

The Tampa Police Department will also be at all three locations, greeting and welcoming fans, while also helping to collect toy donations.
