TAMPA, Fla. - An additional $10,000 has been added to the reward money for the Seminole Heights killer.
The money, which came from the David A. Straz Jr. Foundation, now brings the total to $110,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved in the four killings in Seminole Heights since October.
“Hopefully, the reward money will hasten the apprehension of a suspect or suspects responsible for these senseless killings and loss of life," Straz said in a statement.
Here's how all the donations add up:
- $85,000 from law enforcement partners, including The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; Crime Stoppers; the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the FBI
- $6,000 from the community
- $9,000 from restaurateur Richard Gonzmart
- $10,000 from the David A. Straz Jr. Foundation
The additional reward money comes as the community prepares to honor first responders tonight with a dinner.
