WESTCHASE, Fla. -- Sheriff’s deputies are searching for two people after they used a stolen daycare van to break the front windows of a gas station early Friday.

Deputies responded to a Sunoco Gas Station on Gunn Highway around 2:20 a.m. Friday after the Ford van rammed into the building, said Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Debbie Carter.

Carter said the suspects did not take anything from the gas station.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office believes the suspects tried to use the van to take the ATM located near the front door.

After smashing into the building multiple times and knocking over the bolted ATM. The van became wedged inside the building on top of the ATM.

The ATM remained in the Sunoco.
