A 96-year-old veteran living in a trailer in Polk County is still living with damage from Hurricane Irma. But he’s getting a new home, thanks to people who found out about his story.

Lucien “Chet” Lebrun, 96, had his home damaged in the storm. He says he was denied FEMA assistance last year and has since and hasn’t heard back about his appeal.

Word of his story got around and an anonymous donor stepped up and donated his new home.

He does still have needs, though. He needs furniture and to be able to pay bills.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to help.
