A Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputy and two other drivers were taken to the hospital after a wrong-way crash Tuesday afternoon.
A Tampa man suffering a medical emergency drove onto the sidewalk near E. Fletcher Avenue and N. Florida Avenue in north Tampa, then clipped a woman's car and swerved -- hitting the rear driver's side of the deputy's patrol vehicle.
All three drivers were transported for non life-threatening injuries. They were stable, as of Tuesday night.
One passenger in the woman's car was slightly hurt -- but refused treatment.
The Tampa man was ticketed for wrong-way driving, but he was not criminally charged.
