A 19-year-old MS-13 gang member was arrested in connection with the murder of a male. Police said the unidentified victim was stabbed over 100 times.

According to Montgomery County police a male body was found on September 5 in Wheaton Regional Park located at 11715 Orebaugh Avenue. Detectives found the body in a grave. The victim's body was exhumed and sent to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner. They ruled the death as a homicide. Police determined that the death was caused by sharp force injuries and the victim had been stabbed over 100 times.

The investigation shows that the MS-13 gang was behind the murder. Miguel Angel Lopez-Abrego, 19 was arrested and is being charged with first-degree murder of the victim. He was found in North Carolina on November 11 and arrested on a Montgomery County first-degree murder warrant. He has a bond review Wednesday at the Rockville District Court.

The investigation remains ongoing and police are still trying to identify the victim.
