CITY OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. — A man who was pulled over for speeding now faces driving while intoxicated and drug possession charges.

Police say Peter J. Mojica, 33, of Buffalo, showed signs of intoxication when he was stopped by officers just before 1 a.m. Sunday. He failed field sobriety tests, and his blood-alcohol content was .10, according to police.

Officers discovered six bags of marijuana in the car, each weighing 38 grams.

Police say Mojica told them they were Christmas gifts.

He is charged with DWI, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and speeding.
