ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- You can get some fresh air, get a walk in, and shop too at the Thanksgiving Art and Craft Festival in Downtown Tarpon Springs. This outdoor showcase has been a holiday favorite for more than a quarter of a century. It's a part of Small Business Saturday, an event that encourages people to shop locally. So organizers say, “Don’t get mauled at the mall.”

If you're bored with shopping--why not get “all aboard”. There are special Christmas train rides at Crews Lake Wilderness Park. That's in Pasco County. And guess where this train stops--Santa's Cabin. So keep your camera handy to capture all those precious memories.

Another beautiful place to snap some photos is Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales. Lots of poinsettias are on display, special holiday carillon concerts, and you can also tour the Pinewood Estate. The historic mansion has been decorated in a post-war 1940's theme. It’s just a gorgeous place to roam around.

And here's a garden that lights up at night. The Holiday Lights--all 750,000 of them-- are now on at the Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo. You can stroll through the brilliant display from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. tonight and each night until December 31st. There's family-friendly entertainment along the way. A $4 donation for adults is suggested. This fundraiser helps keep the gardens beautiful year around.
