ST PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Police are investigating a deadly crash at 4th and Gandy in St. Pete.
Police say around 11 p.m. Thursday night, a truck was traveling eastbound on Gandy Blvd, east of 4th St. N, in the outside lane when a pedestrian walked into the path of the truck. The truck hit the 33-year-old man identified as James Stowell. He died at the scene.
The drive of the truck was not hurt.
The road was shut down for several hours but it reopened around 4:30 Friday morning.
