PORT RICHEY, Fla. -- Pasco Sheriff's deputies have arrested a Port Richey man for robbing a Port Richey bank this afternoon.

On Wednesday afternoon at 1:43 p.m., 36-year-old Steve Leon Coley Jr., entered the Bank of America located on 8338 Embassy Blvd., to open an account.

The suspect provided a Florida drivers license as identification but was told that he needed $25 to open an account, which he did not have.

He left the bank but returned at 2:47 p.m. and demanded money from the teller.

He received an undisclosed amount of cash and left he bank.

A short time later, a responding deputy noticed Coley walking down the street counting money. He matched the description of the bank robbery suspect and the amount of money he had on him matched the amount robbed from the bank. He was arrested and has been booked into the Land O' Lakes Detention Center.
