Part of Donald Trump's stunning election victory over Hillary Clinton Tuesday was winning Florida and its crucial 29 electoral votes. And a huge part of that was the Republican carrying the majority of the Tampa Bay area.

Our coverage partners at the Tampa Bay Times broke down the election vote by vote in graphic form right here. As you can see, Hillsborough County was primarily blue (signifying votes for Clinton), but most of the rest of the area was claimed by Trump (the red areas).

By the numbers, it's safe to say that Trump wouldn't be the President-elect without such a strong showing in Tampa Bay. Keep this in mind the next time you feel your vote doesn't really matter.
