Man's best friend was able to bring together people on both sides of the political divide in a new viral ad released by the pet food company Pedigree.

The three minute spot is a social experiment featuring a woman shown taking a "lost" golden retriever to Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump rallies. For each rally, she wears the opposing sides T-shirt.

Initially the woman is given a cold reception by attendees as she asks for help to find the "lost" dog's owner. But eventually, the contentious campaign is tossed aside as the woman bonds with her "political opponents" over the love of dogs.
