SEBRING, Fla. - Investigators say Christopher Ray Queen made history in a way people don't want to make history.
"According to the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, that amount of images would be the largest child pornography case in central Florida history, and those were just the images found in an initial scan of Queen’s devices," the Highlands County Sheriff's Office said. "The actual number of images of child pornography on the devices is likely much higher."
Queen, 50, of Sebring, faces more than 300 charges related to child pornography.
Out of more than 800,000 images found on Queen's electronic devices, nearly 11,000 were identified as child pornography, the sheriff's office said.
"While Queen could be charged for possession of child pornography for all 10,762 images, the 300 charges filed reflect an amount that would ensure he spends the rest of his life in prison if convicted," authorities said.
Queen was initially arrested on Feb. 27 on 19 counts of possessing child pornography, nine counts of sending child pornography and one count of resisting an officer without violence.
The additional charges were filed on Friday, which also include two counts of lewd and lascivious behavior with a victim under age 12, one count of lewd and lascivious behavior with a victim between 12 and 16 years of age and one count of cruelty toward a child.
"Investigators say he molested the same girl three times between November of 2017 and February of 2018," the sheriff's office said.
