An 11-year-old boy walking to his bus stop in Wesley Chapel was approached by a man who offered him candy Thursday morning, according to the Pasco Sheriff's Office.

The incident occurred in the 6400 block of Mangrove Drive about 7:45 a.m.

The man reportedly said to the student, "You could have candy if you follow me," and he wanted the boy to follow him to a wooded area at the end of the road.

The boy ran to his bus stop and the man left in the opposite direction.

The man is described as 20 to 30 years old, with olive skin, dark hair and hazel eyes. He was clean shaven, with sunglasses hanging from his shirt and was wearing a brown furry winter coat.
