TAMPA, Fla. (WTSP) – With the Chicago Cubs celebrating the franchise’s first World Series championship since 1908, 10News takes a look at what Tampa Bay was like 108 years ago (and what’s changed around the Bay since Tampa’s last championship parade when the Lightning won the 2004 Stanley Cup).

- In 1908 the population of Tampa was around 15,000

- In 1908 the population of St. Petersburg was under 10,000

- Pinellas County didn’t exist yet (it was formed in 1912), and the population of Hillsborough County, which included St. Pete, was around 70,000 (Raymond James Stadium seats 70,000)
