Visitors were given the first look at Walt Disney World's brand-new light show involving 300 drones this week.

Video of the spectacle was released on YouTube by Attractions Magazine on Monday showing the Intel and Disney Imagineer created drones flying above Disney Springs.

Earlier this month, Disney was given special permission by the Federal Aviation Administration to fly drones over its property until the end of November 2020.

The Christmas holiday themed show is the first of its kind in the United States, due to the number of intricately-choreographed drones involved.

According to the Associated Press, each drone weighs less than a volleyball and can fly for about 20 minutes.

While on the subject of Disney light shows, we would be remiss without posting a video memory of what we lost in 2016, the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Disney Hollywood Studios. This video is from YouTube user BigFatPanda.
