The NFL has suspended Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Jude Adjei-Barimah for four games for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing substances.

The league announced the suspension Tuesday. Adjei-Barimah will be eligible to return on Monday, Dec. 19, in time for the final two games of the regular season.

Adjei-Barimah, who has mostly played as the Bucs’ nickel defensive back, has 22 tackles and two sacks on the season.

“I apologize to my family, the Bucs organization, my teammates, as well as the fans for this situation,” Adjei-Barimah said in a statement.

“I promise to stay focused and be ready for the last two games of the season.”
