Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Vincent Jackson was placed on Injured Reserve and will miss the remainder of the 2016 season due to an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament.
Jackson complained of knee soreness and was evaluated after the Bucs’ 17-14 win over the Carolina Panthers Oct. 10. He had three catches for 36 yards in the game.
The Buc acquired Jackson as a free agent before the 2012 season after he played seven years for the San Diego Chargers. He was selected to his third Pro Bowl in that 2012 season.
Jackson has 268 receptions for 4,326 yards and 20 touchdowns in his time with the Bucs.
“While I may not be on the field for the foreseeable future, I will be focused on beginning my rehab as soon as possible and finding ways to support my teammates in whatever way I can,” Jackson said in a statement.
