Federal Aviation Administration documents obtained by the Orlando Sentinel show that the regional airline had at least 37 flights aborted at takeoff in 2015.
Eighteen of those 130 flights either departed from or arrived at the Orlando Sanford airport. The airline carried about 95 percent of the airport's record 1.6 million passengers in 2015, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
Assessing the number of incidents is problematic because neither the FAA nor airports keep track of the number of aborted takeoffs.
And while Allegiant's aborted takeoffs were about 0.06 percent of its 64,634 flights last year, the Sentinel reports that two longtime aviation experts say that appears to be outside industry norms.
