PINELLAS PARK, Florida -- K Hibachi Buffet is a large, popular Asian restaurant in Pinellas Park, but this week it was shut down by the state after an inspector documented 15 critical violations during its December 6 inspection.
The inspector found food stored on the floor, slime in the ice machine, and about 75-100 rodent droppings near the bulk food storage bins.
The inspector also documented employees not following their training, and that the food manager was unable to answer basic food code questions.
10 News reporter Beau Zimmer checked into K Hibachi Buffet this week to see if it's cleaned up its act. Click on the video link to see what he found.
