Paul Kasper has been working as a photojournalist at WTSP for almost 20 years. But he doesn't feel like he's been here that long.
"I feel like I just started because everyday is a new challenge and it's never boring."
A graduate of the University of Florida, Paul started his career in news as a still photographer for the Wilton Bulletin in Wilton CT. in 1975. He started working in television when he was hired at WCJB-TV in Gainesville and eventually moved to WTOG channel 44 in Tampa before joining Tampa Bay's 10 in 1988.
"If I won the lottery today I would still work here. The job lets me meet so many creative and inspiring people and in news you see the best and worst that humanity has to offer."
Over the years Paul has won a number of awards including an Emmy and a 1st place Addy. He's also been recognized by the Associated Press, Society of Professional Journalists and the National Press Photographers Association.
In his spare time Paul enjoys fishing, golfing and above all else spending quality time with his wife Mary, daughter Kayla and son Edward.
