Bobby Deskins is the morning and noon meteorologist for 10 News. He most recently resided in eastern North Carolina where he spent 16 years tracking storms and plenty of hurricanes along the Carolina coast, forecasting them for 6 of those years at WCTI in New Bern, NC. He is originally from Maryland, but has also lived in southern California. He has seen a large variety of weather ranging from tornadoes to hurricanes to earthquakes and is now excited to be forecasting the weather here in Florida.

Bobby has an Associates degree in Engineering Technology from the College of Southern Maryland, a Bachelor's degree in Geography from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, a Bachelor's degree in Geosciences from Mississippi State University and he completed the Broadcast Meteorology program at Mississippi State University. He has the coveted Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal from the American Meteorological Society and is a member of the National Weather Association. He has also won an Associate Press award for Best Weathercast.
Bobby is married to Debbie Deskins and together they are raising their first child, a daughter named Ava. With what little spare time he has as a new dad, you can find him at the beach. He likes surfing, fishing, boating, scuba diving and just about every other water sport. Bobby is not only into water sports. He also soloed a plane at the age of 16, has skydived and has ridden a real live bull in a rodeo - twice!
Bobby visits numerous schools every year and has hosted events ranging from neighborhood watch programs to black tie affairs. He looks forward to visiting your community soon.
