ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - George and Cindy Anthony were among a small crowd that gathered near their Orlando home for an event promoting family unity.
The "Family Unity Walk and Run" on Saturday ended with a candlelight vigil and a prayer for a memorial to be built to honor the Anthonys' granddaughter Caylee.
Eddie DelValle of the nonprofit group Bring Kids Home organized the event. The Orlando Sentinel reports that DelValle led a prayer "asking for God's hand" in getting the memorial built. The group has estimated that the memorial could cost up to $200,000.
The toddler's remains were found in the woods near the Anthonys' home in December 2008. A jury acquitted the couple's daughter Casey of murder charges in July.
