Co-counsel Cheney Mason makes a point while answering questions after his client, Casey Anthony, was found not guilty in her 1st-degree murder trial.
DAYTONA BEACH, Florida (WKMG) - Prominent Orlando defense attorney Cheney Mason, who was a part of Casey Anthony's defense team, was taken to a hospital in an ambulance after becoming ill prior to a speaking engagement.
Mason, who was scheduled to speak at Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, became sick shortly after getting out of a car.
Mason was taken to a hospital to be evaluated. His condition is not known.
WKMG Local 6 investigative reporter Tony Pipitone, who is speaking at the same event, said Mason was alert and talkative as he was being assisted.
