400 boats docked in St. Petersburg for the 40th annual boat show

There will be a few more boats than normal docked in downtown St. Petersburg this weekend -- the St. Pete Power and Sailboat show is in town.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The St. Petersburg Power and Sailboat show is back for its 40th year.

This year's show features more than 400 boats and is the biggest show yet. Spectators can expect to see everything from sunglasses to engines.

New this year, the International Game Fishing Association will be holding seminars and qualified buyers can take a boat out for a sea trial. Of course, one of the coolest things about the boat show is the ability to hop aboard some truly beautiful boats.

"What we do is we open them all up and welcome everybody on board, giving a full walk-through or a private tour whichever is necessary," said Alex Kramer, with Galati Yacht Sales.

The St. Petersburg Power and Sailboat show runs Thursday through Sunday. Tickets at $17 for adults. Children 15 and under are free.
