No, Spielberg Didn't Shoot And Kill Dinosaur

(WSPA) - No, director Steven Spielberg did not shoot and kill a dinosaur in a photo that has been showing up on social media.

The picture of a Hollywood-made triceratops - taken during the filming of "Jurassic Park" which was released in 1993 - has been shared more than 30,000 times in recent days after being posted on Facebook according to Marketwatch.

The website reports while most people noted it was posted as a joke, some people wrote comments that appeared to be outraged.

Marketwatch reports the comments included a man who said "I don't care who he is, he should not have shot that animal.

A woman responded, "Steven Spielberg, I'm disappointed in you. I'm not watching any of your movies again ANIMAL KILLER."

For the record, the triceratops was the last dinosaur standing according to Dinosaurs.com. That was 65 million years ago.
