Oscar date set for 2015

(USA TODAY) Mark your calendar: Next year's Oscar date is Feb. 22.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the date for the annual movie awards on Thursday along with other key award season dates.

This year's awards, hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, took place March 2, unusually late in the calendar year due to the Winter Olympics. The February 2015 date brings the awards back to normal calendar-year alignment.

No host has been announced for the show.

The academy released other key award season dates as well:

The Governors Awards: Nov. 8

Nominations voting begins: Dec. 29

Nominations voting ends: Jan. 8

Nominations announced: Jan. 15

Nominees luncheon: Feb. 2

Final voting begins: Feb. 6

Scientific and Technical Awards: Feb. 7

Final voting ends: Feb. 17
