(USA Today)-- Sporting a striking fur hat, Pippa Middleton went to the races today with a handsome guy pal, not her new boyfriend.
The younger sister of Kate Middleton, also known as Catherine, duchess of Cambridge, was spotted at the National Hunt meet in the spa-town of Cheltenham in Gloucestershire, about 100 miles west of London. The National Hunt is one of the most important events on the U.K.'s horse-racing calendar and today was the third day of the meet.
Pippa was dressed in a $1,300 mustard yellow custom-madecoatby Katherine Hooker, and a wide Russian-style hat of brown fur, or faux fur.
But what people noticed was the attractive man with her, identified by the British media as wealthy former banker Tom Kingston, 35, an old pal.
Pippa's new boyfriend is said to be Nico Jackson, 35, another attractive financial whiz (he's a Deutsche Bank stockbroker), with whom she just spent a week in Switzerland where they were photographedsnoggingand skiing (not at the same time).
Pippa, 29, continues to be a target of paparazzi fascination in Britain as she seeks her place in society and the country awaits the birth of the Duchess of Cambridge's royal baby this summer.
