Kapoor has appeared in countless Bollywood films and is well known for his role in Slumdog Millionaire, a movie that he admits changed his life.

"I wouldn't be sitting here in front of you if I wouldn't have done Slumdog," said Kapoor.

Kapoor explained that he had no idea the movie released back in 2008 would still be such a big hit.

"A lot of films are written well a lot of films have better actors, better films, but somewhere there are certain films that are meant to be," said Kapoor. "This film still resonates with people."

"I think the spirit, the hope and the kids," said Kapoor. "Children make our life special. Children make the world special. Children make the film."

Making great films is what Kapoor aims to do. IIFA is a way to highlight and recognize the Hindi language film industry and we're doing that right here in Tampa Bay.
